Netscape Communicator 4.5 News NNRP

Here are some quick instructions on how to configure Netscape Messenger for NNRP authentication ("logging in" to the news server).

• First, open Netscape Communicator, then click on the Edit menu and choose Preferences.
  
  
• On the left side, click the Plus Sign (+) next to Mail and Newsgroups. Select the subcategory on the left called Newsgroup Servers.
  
  
  
  
• Select the appropriate news server from the white box on the right, then click the Edit button.
  
  
  
  
• Select Always ask me for my username and password
• Click OK to close this window. Click OK one more time to get back to the main Netscape window.

Netscape Messenger is now setup to perform NNRP authentication!
